So in theory it shouldn't rub?

It depends on the offset it's prob rubbing in the arches rather than the wing
So it will rub less with spacers but give you a wider front track

Makes sense, thanks :thumleft:

I'll ask Mr G to take a look when I go and see him with it.

If you go too wide on the front you will lose grip as the weight will be over a wider area, but would work with very soft tyres.

I would not go any wider than 225 on the front, its the rears that need all the grip..................oh but I think you know that

Not too sure where to go from here really then, as it looks like the rims are 245's too? I'd have to check them to be sure though, which I'll do later :-k

Check what size the rims are got to be 8" I would assume, then check with the tyre manufactures spec, should be ok with most brands to fit both 235's and 225's to 8" wheels...

They look to be maybe 10mm narrower than the tyres. No size markings on them I could see :-k

The rims themselves aren't a rub risk if they're narrower I guess?

No, just looked through the rim and a quick snoop underneath. I'll have a look tomorrow, if not the weekend :thumleft:

Pretty slow going tonight, with the sum total of one door card replaced. Mainly due to time and being foxed by a connector and those lovely handle surround piece #-o  Oh well, progress is progress

The old card (which is up for sale  )

Much cleaner than the last car's doors

Tomorrow we'll crack on with the other side, before it's time to do the brakes.

Which bit's missing? I might have a spare in the sea of parts I've amassed recently  If not then it can be a job for Saturday :thumleft:

Wheels are 8.5x18 and 10x18 by the way. I used the common sense method and read Scott's thread again

I should be used to it by now, as the last can had a rev1 steering wheel

I'm pleased with how the interior's turned out. Luckily the little bits I wanted to change on it are all the bits I'd already done on the old car (fate?)

Chargecooler's coming up soon... The amount of times I've taken a bumper off and on recently..!

I initially saw the car and immediately thought of the name Moomin - like the children's tv series, lol. It's big it's white, and you'll never see another one! Lol.

However ... After some careful thought I like these names for her :D

Alban (Latin for white)
Tore (meaning spirit)
Brizio
Calvino (although it means "little bald one" in Italian lol)

:-k

Personally I think you need to put the name up for a public vote :D
