Oil catch can connectors

Post by qazwer »

I have been given an oil catch can which is brand new, but the side viewing tube and connectors are missing.

Does anyone know where I could find these parts from?

I'm sure you could probably make your own from fittings and the like. Pictures and a tad more of a descpription would help though. :+:

Sorry, sorry, it does help if I add a little more information doesn't it.

The members on this forum are so efficient, I must get used to that :))

Here is an eBay item number: 330674802885 it is the black connectors and viewing tube on the side of the can that I am missing.

Ok had a look at ebay, the fittings on that catch tank are compressed air fittings (push to lock type) they will be easily available from anywhere that sells airline fittings

That's fantastic, I was at a complete loss on this one.

I have a catch tank on another car, so I can take one of the fittings off and check the fitting against this one, then get a couple ordered :))

Got the push to lock fitting off my other catch tank and it fits perfectly. How do I now measure the threads to figure out what size I need order one?

Or is there such a thing as a thread measurer? ( is measurer a word? LOL :) )

Rang bee fittings from the link above, and gave them vernier measurements of the fitting and they Sussed it out straight away.

Magic total for 2 fittings was £1.80

Top Banana :)
