Took delivery of a little bit of something I had made before recent dramas. Should fit nicely into the new set-up though :D

Haha, isn't it obvious? :-k

It's a battery plate, as the stock piece never seemed to hold the battery in nice and tight. This will... and it looks nice

Nice sig by the way

Not obvious to me but that means nothing  It's looks very smart, what's it made out of?

Says it all really. Pity I didn't follow that advice myself

Stainless steel plate. I have a guy who can cut pretty much anything, so long as it's flat. It's the same guy who did the fuse covers etc. He's coming to JAE, so I might suggest he sets up a stall

I guess it's about time for a bit of an update of what's happening, when etc. :)

The blue car is due to be collected and trailered up to Mr Gidden's on Thursday morning, where the engine will be removed, adjustable pulleys fitted, new cam belt, shims replaced, as well as swapping over a few other bits from the old car. A bit of a sad day, however it's the beginning of the new phase of the Mule and it's evolution.

Saturday is the big day, when we'll be heading south to see Scott and pick up the pearl beauty, very excited :D After which we'll head back home and I'll start transplanting some of the bits I've removed from the old car. Things like interior lighting, door cards and some other little toys I've amassed. Conveniently the bits I was looking at replacing on the blue car have already been done on the new car and the bits I've got are the ones which would change (fate?)

Hopefully the weather will be kind, otherwise it will be another clean and polish session. Although one thing I've learnt about Scott is he's every bit the clean freak I can when it comes to cars. If anything I'll be stepping up my game

Sunday is the first proper outing in it, in the form of a visit to Japfest 2 at Donnington Park. Should be an interesting day, so long as the weather gets it's act together *shakes fist at the clouds*

Going forward - Somehow buying a whole new car and all the associated costs apparently isn't enough, so I'll be picking up some new bits from Rob. In the form of poly mounts for the engine (it's coming out anyway), Toms brace, Cusco rods and a new FPR. I've got an FPR right now, however this one has braided lines and a pressure gauge, which I was looking at buying anyway.

Hmm, I guess that's it for now. He says after writing a short novel  Sufficed to say I'm glad things are happening again, as I've missed having a '2 to drive around in. Reversing in and out of the garage really slowly, so as not to worsen the rim damage just isn't the same #-o

I need to be getting my teeth into something, as all this free time is killing me

Running stock cams, however the ATS pulleys should make things easier when it's being tuned etc. as if I'd had them on when I went to see Ryan he could have sorted my timing issue then and there. Instead it's another trip back down #-o

So when I originally bought it the ignition was something like 10 degrees out, the fuel pressure was 60 PSI and the cams were out  Given that though it still pulled damn hard!
