[Mk2] [Turbo] Will this celica cambelt kit fit my car?

That is for the 1st generation 3sge and 3sgte. You need one for the 2nd generation 3sgte.

Most of these kits don't include the hydraulic tensioner you should change this too, for a full change (idler bearing, tensioner bearing, hydraulic tensioner, belt) with decent pattern parts your looking at £150. Anything less and kit is probably incomplete or poor quality.

Yeah I was going to do all of them. I've seen/worked on a few engines where cambelt was supposedly gone when infact it was the tensioner letting go.

far as im aware the 1st gen 3sgte is still called a 3sgte but is fitted to a celica.

I always thought my engine was a gen1/rev1 as its a 1989 3sgte, which I thought was when they were first made?

The st165 is 1986-89

Also the 1st generation 3sgte looks rly different and has a sidefeed intake mani iirc

The ST185 and the tubby came out in 89 no?
