I think the time has come to sell my MR2. I'm currently only working part time and running two cars is a bit expensive, especially with the cost of fuel now.
The car was originally bought from member on here, that post can be viewed here: http://www.imoc.co.uk/forums/viewtopic. ... highlight=
The speedo is in MPH but the odometer and trip counter read in kilometers.
Here is a brief timeline of whats been done since I've had it:
22/09/10 - Bought car [86'207 miles]
03/10/10 - Changed alloys to Enkei RP01 with Hankook Ventus RS2 Z212 tyres. These were bought from a fellow member here: http://www.imoc.co.uk/forums/viewtopic. ... t=#1234530. Three of them are still in perfect condition, 1 of them has a cap missing plus a curb mark. Plus still have the two spare front tyres as mentioned in the original alloy add.
05/10/10 - NSF Anti-roll bar link
- OSF Aunti-roll bar link
- NS Steering rack end
15/10/10 - Sterling CAT1 alarm fitted
14/11/11 - Oil change
15/06/11 - Both sills had new sill panels fully repaired and sprayed
- Replaced suspension with 2nd hand Rev3 bilstein struts - and springs all round
- Replaced split OS rack boot
- Replaced rear discs
- Replaced thermostat
- Fitted second hand de-cat downpipe
Work was carried out by SBITs
14/02/12 - Changed 02 sensor
- Oil change
- Changed exhaust from blue flame to quiet HKS exhaust
Work was carried out by SBITs
17/05/12 - Current mileage is 93'920 (151151 Km). I've the owned the car 1 year and 8 month, covering 7713 miles in that time.
29/05/12 - Fitted full prothane chasis bush kit and replaced worn N/S/F ball joint
- Fit boost guage and MBC, set up to 15psi.
- Work was carried out by SBITs
13/07/12 - Wiper blades
- N/S/F anti roll bar link
The battery is almost new as well.
MOT is due July 12th 2013, Taxed until the end of October.
None standard items:
Air filter
Exhaust
Alloys
Cusco front and rear strut braces
Rev3 Turbo struts
Boost controller
Number plates
Poly bush kit
Nardi steering wheel
Short shifter gear stick
Boost guage
The Bad points - None of them are major issues.
Mot advisorys:
001 Offside front Anti-rill bar linkage ball joint dust cover damaged, but preventing the ingress of dirt
002 Offside rear Anti-roll bar rubber bush deteriorated but not resulting in excessive play
003 Nearside front tyre worn close to legal limit (I have two spare front tyres though)
004 Exhaust has minor leak of exhaust gases
005 Nearside front wheel bearing has slight play
06 N/s+o/s front shocker cover broken.
Other things I would also like to mention:
- Tbar does leak a little bit
- There is a little rust on the bottom of the drivers door
- Aerial doesn't work
- Paint work is tired, could really do with a proper detail
- No radio
- When I last filled up the red light has stayed on
Looking for £950
I live near Cannock
Thanks
Chris

Check the clips on the linkage near the gearbox mine came off and did the same.

Thanks for that info, if it is such a cheap fix I'm probably going to hold off selling it then. Thanks again.

Re: 1993 Red GT-S REV2 Turbo (T-Bar) [SOLD]
Going to bump this, as I've now decided to sell it. A few things have been done to it in the mean time.
- Its had a full prothane chassis bush kit fit by Peter at Sbits.
- Its got a year MOT
- Tax until the end of October
- Replaced few other small items, first post is going to be updated to reflect the current situation, plus images hopefully.
Turns out there wasn't a problem with the gearbox. A screw had somehow managed to make its way under the gear lever.

Decided to reduce this, as I could do with the cash.

The car has been sitting on the drive for 6 months now, not been used.
Decided to try and sell it here again. I have reduced it to £950.
Still has MOT, but now the Tax has expired.
