The mileage has gone up, mostly due to the Stef Derner delimiter doing its 'sweep' every time I start the car. Just not by much.

We've more or less got to the bottom of the the speedo issue, it's never worked since the turbo conversion so is a wiring issue between a UK NA loom and a JDM turbo loom.

Window thing is fixed (but wouldn't have been an MOT issue anyway).

ABS light fault is (I think) a broken EBFD unit (yea the car has that too). The 80A ABS fuse has repeatedly blown in the past and been bypassed with a bit of wire. Needs ABS codes reading really.

I don't think the tyres will pass though!

Yeah, I'm a bit worried about that. I might just get a part worn tyre before I buy my full set of FK452s for the new wheels, just for the sake of passing the MOT.

Edit : That EDFBFDDBFDBF unit - I've never actually heard of that before, let alone known it was in my car!

Right, ressurecting my own thread to ask :

When I pick my car up , assuming it was towards the end of the day, would I be allowed to drive it home, then straight to the MOT garage the next morning, or would I have to do the journey in one fell swoop?

Cheers guys :)

Pick it up from where? If the MOT has expired you can ONLY drive it TO the MOT station, or TO a 'place of repair'.

Holy f... that was a quick reply. Looks like I'll be booking the MOT for the same day, then! :D

I'll be collecting it from Pacific, then dragging it home. (Or to the MOT centre...)

Corrected for you

The MOT must be prebooked, and the car must be insured and roadworthy.

Get Luke to take it for test. I presume he offers that as part of his service?
