Re: North West Meets
Monday 14th, about 12 of us are meeting for a mooch at each others car, a sit down meal and a good deal of great banter.
Meeting at Water Side/Premier Inn WA11 7LX at 19:30, no later, then having a little drive to somewhere for some food.
If any of you would like to join us for some MR2s, food and banter that would be great
I'll also extend the welcome to the MK1 Owners Club!

Re: North West Meets
Can't really do an after work thing as bit of a trek for me. I would also get moaned at too much I think.
Brian, there is no north west scene at all. Would love something to get going though.
EDIT: Can come, but would need to be a dog friendly pub, really or I'll leave Mark at home with Indy and pop along. This is all providing I get home from work on time tomorrow.
So, after some discussion, it's a maybe.

Re: North West Meets
Hi Lauren
I will keep posting on IMOC our NW meets we organise on the MR2OC, no reason why we cant work to getting a good inter club relationship built up, be great to have IMOC members along & look to build up a IMOC NW scene too.
I work in manchester, and a lot of the meets are over manchester ish way, sometimes i go to the office in the 2 (rather that the company ride) and go from there, more often though its 48 mile drive home then (round trip 96 miles) the another 100+ miles for the meet.
As i live on the Yorkshire / Lancashie border i do try to get over to the Yourkshire meets too
What we do is at our NW meets we have a name out of the hat, lucky dip so to speak, for who organises the next meet, so it gives everyone a chance to have a meet in their local area.
As i say i / we will keep posting upcoming events for the NW meets which are 2nd Monday each month, and see if we can get an inter club and a IMOC NW scene built up too.
We have a wide range of characters in our little NW crew, from the "clinically isane" to" I to have to wear straight jacket a couple of days a month!"
a bunch of characters
hope to see you at a future meets
best regards Brian

Re: North West Meets
I'd just like to add to what Brian's said. Between us we do arrange a few weekend meets/drives too
It would be great to see general meets for owners of all MR2s in the Northwest (and beyond) that reaches beyond a single club

Re: North West Meets
Hi Brian, we are always happy to collaborate with the OC, that's cool.
Perhaps we can get a regular meet going here, that would be good.
I'll do my best to make it tomorrow, I'm on duty at work in Newcastle-u-Lyme, so it's possible I may have to work late. But otherwise I think I can get there.
Apologies in advance for the non-MR2.

Re: North West Meets
Brian, do you know what pub we are eating in?
I can then check if it's okay for my dog or not as otherwise I'll leave Mark and Indy at home. Cheers.

Re: North West Meets
Hi Lauren
as on the meeting thread on MR2OC
Meeting Organised by Rick Mc Rick
Meeting Point 19:30, Water Side/Premier Inn WA11 7LX
This place is easy to find.
Come off the M6 at J23 (Haydock Island) and take the East Lancs Road (A580) towards Liverpool looking out for the Waterside/Premier in on your right at the second major junction.
Set off from here at 19:45 at the latest for a bit of a drive.
10 Miles of my local country side?
I have this little route in mind to show you guys some of my local area. No point coming all this way in your sports car if I don't show you round a bit.
My first choice for us to eat Limewood Farm 20:15 WA11 0GR
It's not a quint little village pub I'm afraid, it's a national chain, but they do good food, good value and great deserts. The only problem at the moment is they are showing no interest in my attempts to put 10 to 20 heads round a table at their establishment, but if I have no luck I'll find somewhere else very near by that does want our money.
I am just checking with Rick re second option, the pub wont pre book but Monday night should be quite
will post up after checking with rick
