Re: Alloys for MK2??????
Im after some alloys myself and have been looking at some black ones with a polished lip as my car is black too.. go for the top one first with the middle pic coming second... not really keen on the bottom one as its a little to boxy for my taste.
How much are these wheels mayb you can get better
have a look at them links in the post above.. i'd go for the Professor SP1 Black they look awesome

Re: Alloys for MK2??????
Yuck. I bet they all weigh a bloody tonne as well.
Enkei RPF1's. I've just bought a set of 17x7 and 17x8 for my car
6.8kgs per rim, lighter than toyota factory 14s.

Re: Alloys for MK2??????
more importantly, i asume all these wheels have a width of 7j???
7j all round is not a great idea, you ideally need wider wheels and tyres on the rear.
considering the costs of some of the wheels youve picked, you could get some decent width wheels just about (e, 800-1k mark).
im after the same black/polished look on my car.

Re: Alloys for MK2??????
SpittinFlames, I have found them cheaper, as you can see by the images they were on Motor-World.co.uk. I found the Konig Theory's for under £700 so thats a saving of at least £250 (with tyres). Smart-Car was the company (google "Smart-Car" for their site") they have lots of stuff, u normally see them in the max-power or fast car mags.
Re: Alloys for MK2??????
I just go these for my black car. Actually downgrading from 17s to 15s, but think they do 'em in 17 too:

The "black chrome" effect is nice, and cuts down on the bling factor. Also think the ten spider spoke style is great on the 2, so would have to go with the 'Hurry'. :-)[/img]

Re: Alloys for MK2??????
personally i reckon a 5 spoke design looks the best on a 2 (in general)... polished lip with anthracite spokes rather than black.
Re: Alloys for MK2??????
Why didn't you guys post up a day earlier!! Except you JimGTS, seen your earlier posts.
I have a white car and I'm also going for the black with polished lip look.
Eventually I decided on these,
http://www.topgear.co.uk/acatalog/4x_17 ... deral_.php
£840 with 205/40/17 on the front and 215/40/17's on the back, all TOYO proxes.
I know the widths aren't ideal, but I don't plan on racing my car on the road or on the track, so for the price I think that's not a bad deal.
They also do interest free finance, which I'm hoping I'm ellegible for!
I prefer the first set of Konig's by the way!

Re: Alloys for MK2??????
Will they fit a mk2?
I looked at these and noticed that the PCD bit says 4 x 100 and mk2's have 5 studs! (I think 5x114.3)
Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, jsut got to look out for these things!
