Nothing too exciting, I'm an 'Independent Social Worker', sort of a specialist social worker contracting. Cheers, just want to get going! :)

I am thinking eurostar. I recently went across and back for £99 return on the underground choo choo. It was quick and efficient!

That is a huge downside of it.

Now we aren't going to be taking Indy (it's just too much hassle tbh), we are more minded to go the ferry as I admit, I do enjoy the fry up on the way over early in the morning.

Expensive greasy food aside, I do actually find the ferry quite relaxing. Nice to stretch your legs and so on before a long drive!

Trouble is I am terrible for sea sickness. Even a gentle swell and I will be chundering on the fry up. 8-[

To be honest, when we went over in 2010, we stopped every couple of hours, for most of us, the ferry is our break after driving 2 hours to get there!

Well she does have 4 seats...and Leesa has blagged one of them already if i drive...fuel split 3 ways does sound very appealing indeed!

Looking at getting the cambelt changed in the next month or so and given a damn good service. She should be well prepared! (the car....not Leesa.. )

Not taking the two as I won't be able to afford the insurance etc before then so will take the daily driver so I might have a spare seat, got to confirm whether of not Joe is coming along. Though if Joe is coming then being in the back of mine would be uncomfortable for that distance as there is no headroom.

Well it is an MR2 specific event. The more MR2s that go, the better :)

There are a few options that people are taking. Personally, i will be looking at leaving early Friday morning, or even late Thursday and returning on The Monday evening travelling via Dover > Calais. Its a fair old road trip, which makes it even more enjoyable....and when you get there the cars and people will blow you away.

I'm being gently probed by Mish......

Can somebody tell me the following:

Can she plug her hair dryer/hair straighteners/hair frightners/hair biggenators in soomewhere in Germany?

Does she need to bring a kettle and teabags?

Does she need to pack a shower?

Can she *ahem* safely?

Is there pie and chips? (That was my question...)

Any thoughts greatly. Appreciated!? :thumleft:

This is going to be fun....

Kinky.

Yes, if she's got an adaptor. There's a plug socket in the bit where the showers etc are.

Turbo Dragon wrote:Does she need to bring a kettle and teabags?

Possibly. There's limitless beer and soft drinks... but the Germans generally don't have proper tea.

Turbo Dragon wrote:Does she need to pack a shower?

No there are showers there. In fact they are 2-person showers

Turbo Dragon wrote:Can she *ahem* safely?

Probably!

Turbo Dragon wrote:Is there pie and chips? (That was my question...)

No, just a really big bbq.
