ohh.. may have found to get me out of trouble.
the bracket and bush from the mk2 fits well.
i know the bar is bigger on the mk2 but when the bracket and bush are put on the mk1 there is no movement and its tight..
fits the same holes

so is this enough and okay to get me out of trouble?
only thing it sit about 4 mm futher away from the body..
is it worth doing both side from the mk2?

EDIT..
Scratch that.
after changing the other side and measuring etc they are exactly the same. the bushes are the same and the brackets are the same..]
result.

Nice find Pete! Good news for all those with rusty ARB brackets or those wanting to put a mk2 rear ARB onto their Mk1!

nope this is the front to front on a rev 1 :) :thumleft:

also th bushes are a lot newer from the mk2 so a bit stiffer too

You normally use the front mk1 brackets to mount the rear mk2 arb onto the back of a mk1 so my statement still stands. :)

The reason I mentioned it is as you have said they're naturally going to be newer with better condition bushes from a mk2.
