Ebay and PayPal fees can add nearly 20% in costs to the seller.![]()
I rarely buy on ebay unless i really have to.

Other thing I've seen a lot of, is people listing an item at 0.99p then putting what they actually want for the item in the postage cost as the insertion fee is only based on the starting price![]()

Ebay are quite good at pulling auctions with excessive postage since they're losing out on fees.
