I'd have the blue one if it were a manual but nearly 4k, you can pick up a decent FD3S for that

Massively over priced, especially so being autos. Both look clean enough, though you'd need to look closely for rot and the like.

Re: Heads up Supercharge on eBay
Sadly both autos that have been advertised for a while now. I was discussing with two tone owner (Trev) about buying the original wheels before Christmas ...when it was advertised at about £5K! I gave up waiting for him to find a buyer when he'd be in a position to perhaps sell the wheels.
Sad thing about SC autos ...great cars but not easy to sell. These cars are advertised in several places not just ebay.

Don't be mean you lot. The dude's new, likes mk1's and wants to join in.
A few manners go a long way.
Thanks for the heads up anyway Harv.

Nobody is being mean, but we do have a no text speak rule on this forum, it's a rule I am happy to enforce.

Re: Heads up Supercharge on eBay
I understand Ollie but if you read through the thread it sounds like the regular group are talking about Harv as if he's not there. Anyway, just thought it sounded wrong and not in the normal spirit of our forum.
I'm not looking for a fight, I just wanted Harv to feel part of the gang and not an awkward newbie.

If he's get's upset by that than he needs to grow a pair, not meaning to be any ruder than usual.

How feasible is it to convert an S/C auto to manual transmission

Re: Heads up Supercharge on eBay
You can do it, but you need all the parts. It's practical to convert an NA to an E51 easily enough.
So you'd need to find a rusty NA and nick the parts off that.
It's just you'd need run all the piperwork, clutch master cylinder and all that stuff.
You'd need driveshafts for whatever box you put in. E51 driveshafts, well the long one are rare and expensive. I got one for £150 over ten years ago as an example.
It's a fair old bit of work.
Maybe that box from a MK3 that Paul was talking about could make it viable? You'd ideally want an LSD as the SC has the power to really exploit it, especially in the wet.

Re: Heads up Supercharge on eBay
Ah, I just had to bring this one back, as I just love how brutal you guys are on MKI pricing, lol.
I would probably agree a bit on the blue one, especially as they have already welded in a new plate somewhere. Plus they were too lazy to use floor mats and have worn a hole in the main carpet. That is just wrong!
The two tone one on the other hand is fairly low mileage, hasn't been molested, and looks to be in decent shape. If it doesn't have rust issues, seems fairly decent to me.
