It'll fit if you buy a tee off pipe to the intercooler - ( I have one kicking about )... but defeats the object.. you'll have two dump valves !!

Guys

Doesn't sound like a goer.
If anyone has a nice twin piston dump valve laying about, that they want to sell, I would be very interested. Let us know if you have. I can pay via paypal straight away.

Oh it'll fit, I have no doubt of that - as I said I just wouldn't do it for the usual AFM related reasons :)

or alternatively, if no one has one for sale, or if you do not recommend this dump valve, can you give me some advice on what dump valve is good, and has a good compromise with both sound/loudness and efficiency etc.....

Would that work (having two dump valves)? Just showing my ignorance when it comes to mechanical things, but I'm a stickler for the PTSSSSH sound...especially if doubled! :D

The standard one offers the best compromise, that's why it's there :)

If you want more sound invest in an induction kit, they you can hear the standard one venting as well as other lovely noises.

induction kit already fitted.

Dump valve currently fitted, seems to suck the air in, but it doesn't make a sound when dumping it, if it dumps at all.
I've a feeling this is why I get a fuel cut at 130mph as well.

Also, does anyone know of a company or person who can fit a derestrictor to my mk2. I have one purchased but I reckon if I fit it, the car will start talking back or something.

bloody Imports!!!!!

the standard bov is a recirc type, hence no noise.
personally i would keep this on your rev 1 due to issues with the afm,i have played with various bovs on my rev 1 in the past, but now stick with the standard recirc, better spool up and no fueling issues!
as for the fuel cut at 130mph i think your speedo may be a little out? this is the speedlimiter that kicks in around 115mph,get your delimiter fitted and this problem will be cured :D

Car is already derestricted due to apexi rev counter. it's just still in kmh.

Car does well over 112mph.

any ideas as to the fuel cut?

The fuel cut is the speed limiter. I got one too, cuts in at 110ish on mine

Trust me, the car is already de-restricted, and goes well over 112mph.

It cuts out at 130mph. I was alongside my mates evo 1 at the time, and he confirmed that we were doing 130mph.

And how did he know he was doing 130? GPS?

Because he has a derestricted car and mph speedo.

TRUST ME, I WAS DOING 130MPH.

I have a derestricted car and a MPH speedo but it still doesn't read accurately :) My GPS highlights this fact - that's why I'm asking if you are sure about the 130mph, with a bad speedo conversion, wrong tyres etc it could quite easily show 130mph but have you at 112mph - my old MR2 used to go off the clock (180km) and then hit the speed restrictor, it didn't do it bang on the 180 line.
