You'll need:

Full forged engine, supposedly the standard Conrods are good for 400 just, but is it worth the risk?

Uprated Fuel System - pump, injectors, rail

Bigger turbo

Bigger intercooler

And thats just the start...

Theres loads of build threads on here that are 400bhp plus that are probably worth looking at.

Stand alone ECU (Link/Apexi/Syvecs) etc
Forged pistons & rods
GT3071 Turbo
800cc injectors
Decent charge cooler/Radtec pre-rad
Decat
Decent free flowing exhaust
Cams
Walboro fuel pump
ARP head studs
Electronic Boost control (Blitz 2.5Bar DSBC)

off the top of my head that should do it. Sure I've missed something though :-k

A set of forged pistons.
A steel hg. Stock Rev 3.
Bigger injectors.
Bigger turbo.
Walbro pump.
Good intercooler.
Exhaust.
Aftermarket ECU.
Uprated clutch.

Thats it. Rods are good for 635bhp. Proven by me. Cams good for same.

stock 3sgte rods are forged and do not need replacing for 400,
they are a little heavy so if you want to rev quite high then replace with a lighter rod.

just to note cams are not required if you r on the rev3 head.
i think everyone has seen u have a rev3 but as others may read it as same for rev2 which a lot of members will agree is pushing it on the rev2 head with stock cams. they struggle to make 400 bottlenecking around 370.
i can think of only one car that had apparently made over 400 on stock rev2 head.

also a quick look in ebay at GT3071 Turbo would i need fitting kit or any extra itemsm different downpipe or will the berk be ok?

can the fuel pump be run off the stock ecu? to which the ecu and turbo can be changed at the same time ready for mapping?
same question for injectors and

or is it best to fit aand install these items together ready for mapping?

will supra injectors see 400bhp or will it need be the sard?

Rob, the stock ECU will run the pump without issue, it's the fpr that determines how much pressure hit's your rail ;)

Your current downpipe will not fit a GT3071r, they have a different exhaust outlet, so you'll need to get a downpipe to suit - or a custom made one. It depends what fitment the turbo will be (T3\T4 etc)

I thought supra injectors were 550cc - although I could be wrong. I would say say you need 800cc+ as you don't want to be maxxing the injectors out

Ah, they've updated their catalogue. It says t38 and not ct26 - you'd have to call them to confirm mate.

Maybe pm MikeN as i'm sure he had a stage 2 tt hybrid

Yes I do!

They have a specially cast TT t38 compressor housing and matching compressor wheel, steel turbine & the exhaust housing is opened up. Massive internal big single port wastegate, also came with a -31 Garret actuator. They are built to take 2 bar of boost.

Because its CT based it simply bolts straight on to any rev 1, 2 or 3+ without any fuss or expensive additional parts required. TT modified the core to take the std Toyota support bkt underneath the turbo by fitting two mounting points, great idea.

Correct - and that is on the UK spec cars. The Jspec TT's are 440cc

Brakes?!
January 2014
..the only thing I can promise for sure is slow progress.

May 2015
just have this niggling thought that if I rip out the wiring, then the car will never get out of the garage again.

Still in the garage...

No.

If you want real horsepower, leave the CT turbos alone. They are good for stock fuel systems, but that is it.
