Return crossing for £58 Dover to Calais

'From' £58 - worked out over £100 if you go from early Fri-late Sun. Only £70 or cheaper on P&O at the moment.

Ahhhhh ok, i was using it to price a trip to le mans which did work out at £58...

We were looking a couple of weeks later and the tunnel actually worked out cheaper than P&O, Plus you can use your Tesco Points on it :thumleft:

And rudely, I'm out.

Auntie has decided to get married that day (after moving it twice to accomdate me already) So I'm not gonna make this.

Although on a plus note, Wifee has confirmed that I can go to the ring instead

Got another ferry offer in my inbox this morning. Might be more suitable?

Can I ask what folks plans are in terms of travel days, is it arrive in dudestown on friday and then leave on Sun.

Or is it arrive Thursday PM leaving on Monday AM? Just pricing up ferries from Hull-Somewhere as an alternative plan :-k

In the past what we've done is arrive Fri afternoon and leave VERY early Mon morning. We've had a special arrangement whereby we can stay over for the Sunday night as well.

We will probably look at getting there Thursday night, but we cannot come back till Tuesday at the earliest because of the daft dog rules.

I'd be in favour of Thurs to Tues, like to see a bit of the countryside.

Yep would be good to stop off on the way back to the (likely) Chunnel. Could also maybe take in more interesting driving roads rather than on the main routes all the way. Quite fancied stopping in Bruges on the way back, I've heard it's stunning.

That's quite straightforward:

Now you don't need to go!

I'd check if that'll be OK with Benno (proprietor at the Rotewarthaus) through Benny/Mario first before booking your crossing. They were fine with us staying an extra night last time but wanted some extra money for it (they hadn't the previous year). I'd imagine they'll definitely want some extra if it'll be 2 extra nights.

Think it would be only one extra night (Thursday) tbh John. This was okay'd last year but we couldn't go in the end. We'd stay elsewhere we are thinking Bruges on the way back for Monday night. :+:
