wheel nut help

Post by RikH77 »

got some enkei rp01s on now - but standard nuts look....well....
can anyone point me in direction of some decent shorter nuts

colour not really an issue but black/silver prefered.

not overly fussed on a locking nut but be a bonus if i could still have one.

thanks in advance

I'm not helping for 3 reasons...

1. I haven't the faintest clue
2. I wanted those wheels!
3. I WANTED THOSE WHEELS!.

Sure someone more useful will be along shortly...

I wouldn't use the stock nuts with aftermarket wheels, due to the majority of them having a tapered bolt hole, where as standard wheels/nuts are flat bottom.

Check to see if the wheels have tapered bolt holes. Driftworks sell some nice tuner nuts :thumleft:

Like those, yes, in that they have a taper seat but not those, they're £20 for four

I have some Grade 5 Titanium nuts as fitted to my Noble.

Stronger than steel nuts. Lighter than aluminium nuts at 19g each.

£400 per set....

The ones I found for Cassi's Mk2 were stainless (I think) and had a star shaped socket that fitted inside the bolt. :-k

Can't see them on the Halfrauds site. #-o

I've got a similar set on my mk1 and had the same on my old mk2.

Search ebay or similar for "Tuner Nuts"

I have some Richbrook "titanium" ones that I'm very pleased with. Really only forged aluminium more like. But very, very light weight. Cone type.
