It can be done with diodes or relays.

PM me if you need help.

Sort of...

The inner bulb will be a 21W single filament bulb. It is quite possible to connect them to a switch, and hey presto, fog lights.

However, it is posiible the MOT tester may get arsey since the outer lights both on (21W and 5W) may appear brighter than the inners. And the fog is supposed to be the brightest.

The way we connect them, (which is not the only way, just one way), is to get two more twin filament bulb holders for the inners.

Wire up so you have 4 side lights and 4 brake lights. 8)

Then intercept the inners with relays or diodes so the fog light switch illuminates the 21W and 5W filaments of the inners. Then the outers can't be brighter than the inners!

There is also a chance of the mot tester getting arsey saying that the operation of the fog light is adversely affected by the operation of another lamp ( 21w filament lit by both brake and fog light feeds) happened to me and I had to wire up a bolt on fog for mot. Depends where you take the car I suppose.

My best one so far was to wire them 4 tail lights, outers as brakes, inners as fogs.

I asked God for a bike, but I know God doesn't work that way. So I stole a bike and asked for forgiveness.

You have reversing lights?

Flash git :p

Mine have never worked as far as am aware so the rear fog can often help me reverse, as other than my MOT its the only time I use the fog light

Peter, I like the idea of the 21+5 at the same time. Might discuss this with you when I'm down in a fortnight :thumleft:

On that 'how to' are these what are being talked about for P600 diodes?
