Hand brake seized

Post by kingey »

The caliper has been striped down and the piston and sliders are ok.The problem is the crank lever that operates the piston via the cable.Inside that is a bearing ,that is shot and I am wondering if that can be knock out and replaced or is it a new caliper.

Any particular individual part of the caliper can be purchased from Toyota. What age is the car?

I am in the process of replacing the 16v rears and have just bought 2 22v rears of ebay (lesson to be learnt there then) as I have had a 3l v6 fitted.
So not sure of the year but understand all 22v are the same.
Thanks for the reply

If you're changing up to the 22V calipers you will also need bigger discs.

The full spec can be found:

on their on-line catalogue.
