....Is it best to do it when the car is stone cold, or slightly warm??

cold. remember to turn the heater to hot setting.

Sorry to hijack this but where do people buy their coolant from and is it best to use the Toyota for life stuff.

I believe you can use non Toyota coolant but it has to have some special additive or ingredient?

I use halfords red, diluted 50/50.

I use toyota coolant. It is only £18 for 5 liters ready mixed

Toyota stuff is best, but you can mix your own as long as you use deionised water

Well yes the first 3 bottles i bought I paid £18 a bottle but the last one I paid £12

Yes I've bought 4 bottles of coolant in total.. :roll:

I had a split pipe and a hole in the radiator. :?

lol, that eBay mob are selling it for more than it costs retail from Toyota! They seem to be obsessed with it being green too...

quick Q for you all - is thermostat different between 3sgte and 3sge UK rev 3 +

Struggling to find one in stock and not paying 30 quid from toyota!

As far as I'm aware the thermostat was only different between Rev1/2 and Rev 3 the Rev1/2 one being smaller.

:thumleft: But no i believe the Turbo / NA makes no difference..

Yep im pretty sure even on Ebay it lists it for the Rev of the car, and states that it fits both N/A and Turbo of that Rev.

Definitely the same -GE and -GTE of the same revision.

I did purchase one not from Toyota claiming to be a Rev3 thermostat it turned out to be the wrong one so ended up going to Toyota in the end anyway.. #-o
