Cheers for the pm Jimi.
Had another go at bleeding the heater this morning. Well afternoon decicded for a lie in this morning. The air coming though seems alot warmer after this attempt. Im considering draining the coolant again though, it still looks very rusty and minging even though i did flush the system though. Been experimenting with tire pressure settings the past week or so too, learning what effect running higher and lower pressures can make to the handling currently trying 32f and 32r and boy is it abit bouncy. Fun too though!

Thought you were visiting Lauren yesterday afternoon Alex :?

I often run tyre pressures at 40 psi all round. No problems

I was planning to, but i said to myself i might aswell try a couple of things before i go on a road trip up to manchester. Turns out the set of instructions i found had bits missing so when i came to read the link Jimi gave me i jadnt done bits which he states. After doing the bits i ve not done ive now got warm i coming though the vents! Hoorah!.
Hopefully going to pick the bucket seats up next weekend to give those a clean and tidy up, saving up for harnesses then those can be mounted in the 2, and hopefully the split rims should be back from the coaters this week to, so finish those off and assemble back together. Paying Jimi for one ogf his world famous throttle brackets which will be fitted and then over Christmas I want get the rocker covers painted up and re-fitted too.

That's what I thought. ;)

Sounds like you may have got it sorted, Alex. The air should be hot coming through the vents though, not just warm. We always flush through from various directions with a hose.

If you need to visit, let me know, it's no problem. :+:

ah.. Well ive figured when i did the coolant flush i only flushed the one side so im assuming thats why the coolant is still abit rusty, so im going to do another coolant change and flush both ways in a few weeks. Havent taken photos today, had rugby this morning, then the f1 and then a party tonight! Ill without a doubt post up on dinner hour tomorrow at work.

Citroen almost 5 finger discount. I know everybody at the old citroen dealership so ive been getting the pink coolant that goes in the C1's (identical to the Aygo) which i am told also uses longlife. So by logic its the same. But however logic can often be flawed which i hope this is not. Ha.

Jimi's link confirms what is stated in the BGB about coolant

A good brand of ethylene glycol mixed with water at a ratio of more than 50% but less than 70% E/G is perfectly satisfactory

Cracking job done by Turning heads in Stoke on Trent. They sorted out a few other little bits and bobs for me too!

Obviously a good improvement, but in the nicest possible way your pics are rubbish considering how long you've had to take them! ;)

well i did post a pair up Peter by by no means are they pro quality as i dont know anything about photography. With my iphone camera its normally find something shiny, expensive or both point and click. Will see what a friend of mine is doing this weekend. Its her birthday saturday night though so we might not be in a fit state to do anything sunday.

So go in the car tonight after work turned the key engine started up but to a huge ear defying squeaking noise coming from the alternator. According the the in car gauge the alternator is charging any idea what the squeak is?

Hey Alex,

First of all, check the belt tension. Normally if you alternator is given enough voltage this should be ok, but you can always double check if the alternator is still giving enough voltage under high load (lights, music, back window defroster,... on)
If it is still ok under load, then you can apply the "jungle" solution put some candle grease on the inside of the belt.
It 'll normally solve the noise for a short period.
I did the same on mine and it is ok for 4months now but I have new belt at my garage waiting for replacement this winter!:-)

I didn't look at all your post, but when I saw the pictures you posted lately it did bring memories back:

Here is mine before:

And after:

Nice work you did on yours! :thumleft:

Cheers,

Frank
