What standard spoiler do you prefer??

Post by Nik_L »

As above. Rev 1/2 or Rev 3??

I have a Rev 2 as my daily and a Rev 3 that im breaking.

My Rev 2 was used for a charity road rally so was plastered with sponsor stickers when i got it. Got them all off the bodywork (nightmare) but the spoiler still has some vinyl on it. Its been done like an Italian flag with green white and red. I was going to remove the vinyl but the previous owner started to sand the spoiler down and i don't have the time to paint it.

The Rev 3 im breaking is Super Red so the same colour as mine. Now im thinking about just swapping the boot lids and removing the side pods for the Rev 1/2 spoiler. But i think i prefer the Rev 1/2 spoiler with the Rev 3 rear lights, looks better from the rear. But from the side, the Rev 1/2 spoiler makes the car look dated imo.

Ideally some pics of nice Super Red Rev 3's would help.

Im not asking what should i do, merely just what do you prefer and why.

For me, I prefer the rev 2 backend (both lights and spoiler) to the rev 3.

I think the rev 2 backend is also further improved with an Autopista center section.

I just think the rev 2 rear looks better than rev 3. (just my opinion) Making the car look dated is not a bad thing! Retro styleeee! :D :thumleft:

If you remove the rev2 side pods you will still need to fill and paint the holes in the rear quarter which Is a much bigger job than painting the centre section....

None. Get rid of any spoiler and then add rear spats to rev1 lights... That's my preference.

Rev1/2 spoiler and lights etc. No matter what you do the car is dated so it's better to roll with it retro, honesty is best IMO...

I just feel that the rev 1/2 spoiler and lights make the car look lower and wider from the rear :thumleft:
