[Mk2] [Turbo] wot sort of power will i get

hi im new to imoc ,
wot sort of power do u think i will get with the following parts on my rev 2,



1000cc injectors

gt 3071 turbo

paddle clutch

big intercooler

link g4 ecu or motec

stainless manifold

3 inch turbo back system

and wot else will i need to get bout 400-450 bhp

i missed off cp pistons and eagle rod with complete arp bolt kit.

Intercooler mounted where? Any head work / cams etc?

proberly a boot mount and im not sure bout the head work as i have been told they can cope with that sort of power, as for mapping im open to suggestion on a good tuner.

Which GT 3071 are you buying? That will have a huge impact on the power you can make...I think you'll struggle to make 450 on a 3071 though, but I could be wide of the mark :eye:

stock rev2 cams will struggle above 320-330 bhp might make upto 350 but the cams are just bottle necking the whole setup

would i be better putting a rev 3 engine in or changing the cams to performance cams

rev3 lump will give you better figures to start with or just the head. rev3 head is good for about 400 before any work (only needs basic smoothing anyway) no need for 1000CC injectors 850's are fine at stock pressure. walbro 255 pump will be in order though

I might be talking out of my ar$e here, but isn't the stock exhaust manifold good for 400+ bhp ? And never cracks.

i`ve just been offered a full rev 3 conversion inc box with lsd for £1200 does that sound price a good

That's about average price. Any guarantee with the engine? Have you at least heard it running?

For tuners i had great exerience with Greg @ pro tuner (redditch)

He checks the engine over (compression test, Leak test, exhaust leak test) BEFORE mapping.

wot sort of price do pro-tuner charge

and there is a 3 month warranty on the engine and box

He only does mapping not engine supply
