knock on a power fc

i drove home tonight and the engine management light flashed and the pfc said 98 knock .it was cold and i was driving with no boost and whenever i accelerated the knock seemed to go up . when the car got warm i could give it full boost and it didnt knock above 20 .i dont know what im going on about

the powerfc does add timing for cold running up to 60degrees..

the powerfc warmup values could be incorrect for the high load settings.

the easiest way is to adjust your driving..

if your mapper is close just pop in and get them to check it over

98 is very high, the alarm is usally set for 60 and I think at 98 you would have heard the engine knocking and it possibly would have been misfiring as well. It might be worthwhile checking the sensor is tight enough in the block if it happens again.

There is a graph for cold fuelling and timing that can be adjusted but the Universal Edit software is needed to change it.
