Aircon radiator removal

Post by Steve-O 2007 »

How do you remove the aircon radiator without getting the gas etc in your face? Is there a special way to discharge the gas before removing the Aircon stuff?

Thanks :thumleft:

Just unscrew the two bolts on the rad and make a sharp exit :thumleft:
To remove the rad, its easy with the nosecone off, but it can be done from the bottom but you need to be strong and undo the coolant rad supports and push it back hard

theres a valve in the frunk on the right hand side when looking into it. Its the same as a tyre valve. You can unscrew the cap, get a long rod/screw driver etc, lean well away and push down on the centre pin of the valve.

Also make sure no ones looking. its illegal to do so.

yep, its illegal to release CFC's into the atmosphere. Apparently theres a hole in the O-Zone layer, and the vast amount of gas you will be releasing might kill us all via global warming......or some b0ll0x like that

I think its ok in that case. It would be similar to prosecuting you for incorrect oil disposal if your engine blew up.
