[Mk2] [Generic] URGENT HELP!!!

Hello

I have just turned my car off and lights. But my rear lights have decided to stay on.

So for now I have disconnected the battery.

What is going on?

brake light switch stuck on ?


try pressing and releasing the brake pedal vigoriously a few times

im pretty sure it was the tail lights.

I will double check in a hour or 2.

Ive just checked and it is the brake light.

I have had a look near the pedal and i found bits of what it looks like a circular hard rubber washer on the mat.

What would this be?

It is all fixed now, i have just adjusted the brake light switch and now it is working.
