exhaust

Post by 4ndee »

I have a n.a with a japspeed exhaust. Last night I got pulled by traffic police. They moaned about the exhaust. Now the exhaust is new so don't wanna sell ir, so was thinking 9f getting some bungs. Has anyone used them? Will it make a difference?

I would have thought a bung would make a bit of a difference. There is one on my Blitz Nur.. Wouldn't fancy taking it off.. 8-[

the blitz without bung is good :thumleft: would have thought that the manufacturer will have passed it in some way tho i would mail them and ask just for badness.

You were lucky the Government vehicle wasn't there to make you do an emissions test.
If you'd failed you'd have been fined on the spot.

They are way too loud for me.
Loudness doesn't equal power as I'm sure your aware.
I'd sell it and buy a quieter one with a de-cat pipe as you'll stand out less for noise but still get the better response from the de-cat.

You should be able to buy a bung to suit the tail pipe diameter easily enough.
I'm sure ebay lists them. :thumleft:

just got of my fat ass and fitted them today. They are strange. It sounds like the exhaust is blowing where they dont fit 100% flush in the tail pipe so will need to squash the pipes down a bit. the difference is amense though. at 70 mph i can talk to a passenger lol. they look a bit cack so will spray them black. but worth a punt for anyone who is annoyed with a japspeed exhaust. :thumleft:

Before i fitted them you couldent hear nothing but the exhaust ,When the other half took it out you could hear it for miles,Looks like it will be broken for parts soon as there is nobody interested in it cheers.
