Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Bleeding my clutch after engine swap help.
It's a 2 man job in my experience. One on the clutch pedal other underneath on the clutch slave bleed point.
Basically this way worked for me*:
Topped up reservoir
Open bleed on slave
Clutch in and hold
Close bleed on slave
Clutch out
Open bleed on slave
Clutch in and hold
Close bleed on slave
and keep repeating the process until there is no bubbles present in the fluid. Also always keep an eye on the reservoir level.
After cursing and swearing at mine for days trying to do it by myself I had it done using the above in 10 mins with a friend to help.
*Disclaimer-Worked for myself it could be different with other people

Trouble is that if the pedal can be pushed to the floor with a little finger than you will be there for hours !!!
I found it a 5 minute job on my own by bleeding at the gearbox end. Pushing the clutch arm in myself underneath the car.

Open bleed nipple
push peddle down and hold it while closing the nipple
repeat this about ten times then
open bleed nipple
push slave cylinder in by hand and hold it, close bleed nipple
repeat that a few times, then back to the peddle
Should bleed in about ten mins
only have the nipple open when pushing the peddle in, if its open when the peddle rises it will never bleed

Got it!!! Did a mixture of most systems lol
Split the union at the bulkhead got loads of air out there, then kinda had a pedal, and bled the bal as usual, also used an one way valve while bleeding and bingo.
Only on first drive engine shuddered and pulled the two bolts holding the engine mount near the slave out!!! Gutted got it all Tapped and bolted back up and fine drove about 15 miles and no problems yet!
Thanks for the help guys!
