Hi guys for all you with 3.0 conversions that were carried out yourselves where the hell did u find a camry obviously i dont want to be paying best part of a £1000 for one . Ive looked for weeks on ebay, autotrader an pretty much everywhere else i can think of an have come up with nothing?
I paid £280 for a 3vzfe from a scrappies with everything I needed to do the conversion, so they are out there. It was overheating but nothing a £50 ebay headset couldn't sort
Ahhh!
If that was around 2 years ago, then it probably ended up in my MK3 and is sitting in my driveway as we speak..! (Oh, btw, you dont happen to have any info on the donor vehicle, do you.....by any chance..? (Engine number, VIN, etc)
Would be useful for tracing/ordering bits via Toyodiy.com....)

Last time I needed bits for mine, I looked on ebay while at the Toyota parts counter, saw a camry and gave them the reg number....a few minutes later I had the vin number also !
I remember the vin and reg being forwarded to swansea as an end of life vehicle, shame it was scrapped as it was a very clean car, gold with half leather.
I can ask to see if theres a way of retrieving the info from work,
if there is i'll let you know
That makes me want to do it even more
Think ive underestimated the cost of the conversion though slightly especially when you consider the porting of the cylinder heads which i really want doing, and the exhaust that needs fabricating so its put on the back burner for now untill i save a few more pennies.
Thats why i said get one thats already been done.
I had mine up for sale for months and nothing but only had 1 chap look at it.
Some chap should be collecting next week for less than 2k but we will see.
