Just got back from the Enville Stages at Anglesey. 26th overall and 1st in Class B (1401 - 1600cc). We finished about 1 minute 20 seconds ahead of 2nd in class. A great result, and still on Toyo R888s.

Well done bud. Gutted I had to drag myself and the SWMBO to Silverstone for the F1 instead of weighing down the silly seat.

Class winning car now, we'll have to increase the insured value must be worth a few grand more now.

SWMBO? - Doesn't come close.

I quote 'Wayne's World', she's a Psycho Hose Beast*. And that's when she's sober.

I did the euro-millions last night but havn't checked the tickets yet, very soon hopefully.

Quaife box would be amazing but it really a bit out of my price range.

North West Stages 2012

Post by aw11rally »

Another season, another North West Stages Rally.

As usual it was a hugely challenging event, this year run over 5 venues in and around Blackpool. Freezing rain and thick ice on parts of the stages made for an interesting drive. Finished 22nd overall (85 started) and 4th in class. I was disappointed to miss out on a pot but it was a great weekend, the challenging conditions made it all the more fun.

Mainly ANWCC events but we're not doing the championship as John and I share the driving.

We will be doing the Three Sisters and Anglesey challenges though hopefully (and maybe some TSS).

So where have you seen us Sideways?

Another video from the North West Stages. Has anyone noticed cars blowing smoke (steam) rings before? I found it very entertaining, small minds etc.

crash, bang, wallop!

Post by cogboy »

Due to a slight car/tyre wall interface the other weekend at Anglesey, I may be in the market for some bits. If anyone has any front bumpers (Mk1a or b, not really bothered which), lower front plastic chin spoilers or a front panel that's reasonably straight, I would be interested.
PM me if you have any bits that are surplus to your requirements.

Cheers,

John.

Not a happy ending indeed - clean break of the driveshaft or was it a CV joint ?

It twisted the end off the left driveshaft. The outer CV looks ok, but it could be a challenge getting the remains of the shaft out. It broke right at the end of the CV. These were the Lotus Exige shafts we had resplined to fit the MR2 outer CVs. They lasted 4 seasons, which I suppose is good.
