arch rolling

Post by jasongtr »

ok so i took the car out for a very short drive today, and its low (on gab adjustable struts and tein springs) i have also just fitted 20mm rear spacers and the os tyre came back with the tell tale mark on the tyre, so is there anywhere local to me (nr oxford) that rolls arches or is the tool that does it cheap to buy?

cheers

i know i couldnt believe how simple it would be, i guess the only thing that stops people doing it themselves is the cost of the tool

Someone on here had one for hire too, that's how I did mine.

You need to be careful with the side strips when you roll the rear arches. Depending on your tyre size you may have to roll the arches so much that you roll the smaller mounts inside the arch for the side strips out of the way in order to get tyre clearance. You'll then get tyre -> side strip contact and they'll snap off (or gouge a hole in your tyre).
