'Cept it's not the Wii 2 :oldtongue:

It's just the new Nintendo console, in the same way that the SNES wasn't the NES 2. I suspect that Nintendo are pushing their luck if the rumours are true, what with every controller having a 6" touchscreen screen in it: That's going to make for some expensive gaming.

Surely every successor, no matter what it's called is a successor.
Nintendo > Super Nintendo > Nintendo 64 Basically a Nintendo 1-3
Sega Master System > Mega Drive > Saturn
Xbox > Xbox 360
PS 1-3

Names, numbers, they're just successors.

I'll stop rambling now, I've had WAAAAAY too much coffee today.

Curious yes. Excited no.

Nintendo no longer make games or consoles that I want to buy, which I suspect says more about my changing gaming tastes than anything else.

WiiU? Really? I'm sure we'll get used to it, but it's making the Playstation Vita sound like a brilliant name now.

Agreed mate. Definitely not interested in the Wii, flapping around in front of my tv isnt why I buy games.

The new console:

New controller:

The wii is the biggest load of ar$e console ever. You only have to watch those pathetic adverts and see the kind of saps they are marketing it at, they make me cringe.. Wii fit? Go for a god damn jog.

edit.. So no, not excited to see the next gen nintendo console, they havnt been great since the snes had street fighter 2 and the mario games.. Maybe at a push goldeneye on the N64 that was pretty good.. And Turok.

That pad is ultimately very cool, but also the single biggest piece of fail I've ever seen.
