Well there have been people who have run more without any problems, But they seem to have put it down to being lucky!, Building a 5S practically eliminates the chance of being unlucky.

I think it's look of the draw rather than an actual power figure. Some have cracked at 400+ Hp and some are holding out fine at more than that. It seems that Liners don't cure the problem either.
Re: Cracked block and my exit :(
anyone using hardblok on the stock block?....i was considering doing that
Re: Cracked block and my exit :(
Thanks for all the support guys but i'm gonna cut my losses and call it a day, other priorities have taken over and the money I get back will come in handy there.
Greeny I did consider the 5s block, original plan was to garage the car till I can sort a built 5s bottom end but even that would mean forking out north of 3k and finance's are tied up in other things so would mean waiting till next season which is why i've decided to get rid. The block cracked a couple of months ago so i've had all that time to go through my options.
Goes without saying it breaks my heart to do this, was looking forward to 2bar pulls down the strip
