Any side feed intake manifolds for the rev3 ?

If so, this install would be what I'd go for :lover:

Pretty sure most N/A inlets fit the rev 3, that manifold in the picture is the one I have from an early Celica with TVIS so it fits rev1/2's.

Made my order today from Frozen boost, $95 postage! I still dont have enough posts to put up a link but its the 90 degree type 14 and once I have the side feed fitted I will fit it like that barrel CC core so the output is facing straight into the throtle body inlet with just a short link pipe to fit the BOV in. While I still have the stock inlet I am going to put it on top of the engine like the ST205 one.

Just found out that the ST215 Caldina intake manifold is side-feed and fits a gen3 :)

And you can still get a big filter in there too.

I think he changed the oulet pipe to the rad to get the big filter in.

That charge cooler is far too big as rated at 1000 hp but is my spare one so I let him use it

I think that you should just bite the bullet and go BMIC! I get so many WOWs! when i open up my boot lid and theres yet Morrreeee engine in there! lol

yep the apexi/pp core....

i use my boot for all my tools, lol. maybe its just the cutting of the boot and scoops im not keep on doing.

may as well post a pic, but gives you an idea of where my turbo sits and potential issues with trying to fit the CC in the passenger side of the bay

jim ive fitted a BMIC but ive been looking and i reckon i can fit it and still have a usable boot by slinging it under the floor and making up an alloy duct. mind you that said i have a single exit exhaust and youve gone back to the twin havent you?

ok after alot of research, i think my best bet is to make a cardboard version of the said a2w ics i see on ebay, make some fake pipes and see what actually fits....

im confident there is enough room for one of those 1000+hp ebay a2w units, just maybe a case of having a few bends on my turbo and tb pipes, probably not a great issue really...

am looking at rads, anyone any ideas for a big rad to use?? im asuming id ideally like something bigger than the cinq rads the st205 peeps are using??? geeman suggests using a radtek rad, but what size???

pump, ive done some research on here, and seems best bet is to go with the high back pressure pump that JJ suggests, basically a 17ltr pm marine pump....
19mm ID coolent hose, thats easy enough....

so think im good for hose, pump, i can work out joiners myself, its just the rad and fixing it in place??? and what core to go for??......

any suggestions welcome peeps

Luke tells me he's seen the plastic strainer on those marine pumps crack and start leaking on a few installs. Still a great pump (I'm still using one) but if you get one you're best off not using the strainer. It can be used with or without it anyway.

Why do you feel you need something bigger than the cinq rad?

It's pretty tight behind the bumper and you'd be looking at removing the AC rad and shifting the coolant rad back to make room for a thicker CC rad.

Yes, that's the one. It's an awesome pump. When Luke fitted it to my car and was bleeding the CC system he said that as soon as the pump was engaged the core was emptying almost instantly. He was able to bleed the whole system in a fraction of the time it takes with other pumps he's used, including the GT4 pump. Also this pump can run dry and can handle up to 35psi pressure with no drop in flow rate. I saw an immediate big drop in CC water temps with this pump and I know it isn't flowing so quickly that you don't get a good heat exchange to the water because my manifold inlet temps also dropped as well.

In light of what Marf is saying it's worth mentioning that I switched to a GT4 rad from a cinq at the same time as changing the pump which may have helped but I know others who are running this pump on a cinq rad are still happy with its perfomance.

That pump is pretty good - i'm using it - but don't use the strainer :lol: I've arrived at work once with a fountain in the back of my car (pump is mounted where rev2 charcoal canister used to be). Replaced it with an elbow and never had a problem since.

i have no a/c rad to worry about, so just looking for something big, surely bigger is better in terms of dropping temps?

my current thoughts are this......

core;

http://www.frozenboost.com/product_info ... c1a3f19fc0

radiator;

http://www.frozenboost.com/product_info ... c1a3f19fc0

rad and core shipped to uk will be $600....(450 rad/core + 150shippnig)

pump;

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Marine-Automatic- ... 58873b39b7

piping;

x2
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HEATER-HOSE-BLACK ... 29ff487508

then all im worrying about is some AN fittings and can make some brackets for the pump/rad....
