In my experience, yes, it does. It's only once you've freed up the flow of the exhaust system that it becomes noticable though.

With a de-cat and a good free flowing exhaust, the wastegate can't flow enough exhaust gases away from the exhaust turbine in order to prevent it over speeding.

There are some companies who port the wastegate on their hybrid turbos (I don't know which ones off hand) but I've also seen reports of the wastegate then cracking after a time.

you may need a restrictor ring to restrict the flow a little.

I had bad creep on the CT26 and no matter what I did I was hitting 1.36bar+

Sorted by fitting a TD05 with Tial External Wastegate, holds solid to what ever I set it to now

Do you mind if I ask,is boost creep the same as spiking?

no

creep is boost increases the higher the revs you go, (normally you cant control this)...... 5-10psi initial spool up, then more revs, 11, 12, 13psi
boost spike is if it were to spool and hit a higher than desired boost level then fall and maintain the boost you want (you can and should control this with an ebc).....5-15psi, 14, 12, 10, 10, 10psi

tho theres always a chance it can do both also, spike and then creep.
