Strangely enough I was seeing what was happening too. I really hope this goes ahead I'm really itching to get my whole suspension and wheels set up.

Any news if we can go ahead? :-)

Ok just had a count up and if all those who have have said they're interested are still, then we're good to go.

cvega666 - Front only
MR2Turbo1991 - full kit
Shortie - full kit
Sjm1984 - front only
ForMySin - full kit

I will drop each of you a PM when I get on my PC with the payment details. Hopefully everyone can reconfirm in the mean time.

I'm on paternity leave next week so hopefully be able to get things ordered up quickly if all money arrives over the weekend.

Pm'd will be sent soon.

Thanks again all!

Ok I have PM'd shortie and sjm1984 for a reconfirmation.

ForMySin has reconfirmed via PM. cvega666 and MR2Turbo1991 are both recent confirmations above.

So on the assumption that sjm1984 and shortie reconfirm we are good to go! :thumleft:

Ok sjm1984 has got back to me and is unfortunately out of the GB so we still need an extra 1 if Shortie is still in.

Mr Onions, think you may have your 5th person... Do you happen to know the distance from axle centre to caliper outer edge F+R, so I can doube check clearance?

I'm after a full set, and have read and agree to the T&C's.

Would you be looking for payment upfront?

Hi mate, hows things? Payment would be upfront as I need monies to order parts (still waiting on response from shortie).

I will dig through my details and will be able to tell you what clearance you need in the caliper. Never measured from hub centre. Will let you know ASAP.

Shortie has dropped out so we're back to needing 1 more. I will have a look at numbers though and make some investigations to see if it's possible with those already confirmed. Leon I havent forgotten you mate, just been uber busy. Will get the measurements to you ASAP.

Right, sorry for the delay people. On the assumption of the below, we should be able to do the GB with 4 people. These numbers should just about met the mimimum order amounts at the farious suppliers.

Leon. - Full Kit
cvega666 - Front Only
MR2Turbo1991 - Full Kit
ForMySin - Full Kit

Leon have you been able to confirm that your wheels will fit yet?

Thanks,
Ant

Rear kit feedback and a warning

Post by george_m »

Bought the rear kit the end of last year but only just got around to fitting it which was straight forward just needed a little fettling. I used some loktite on the new brackets to hub bolts

I used EBC dimpled and slotted rotors with EBC Yellow stuff pads and have just completed around 40 odd laps at Castlecombe circuit testing.

The brakes worked well the extra stopping power was great running along side my K Sport 356mm front setup. every lap included heavy braking from 130 and 140mph, so quite an extreme test
I checked the car over after to make sure all was tight, which it was but I did notice a scrape on the chassis and a dent in the near side rear hard brake pipe just before it meets the flexible pipe. It seams the handbrake cable bracket that bolts to the brake caliper had been hitting the pipe but luckily not puncturing it yet.
Not to panic as my car runs on wide sticky slicks at the rear so this was extreme conditions however it may be worth modifying the bracket to ensure enough clearance for say a deep pothole.
Overall an excellent bit of kit well made strong and well worth the price
Thanks

Sorry to say that I'm going to have to cancel this Group Buy till there is more interest. There has been more drop outs so there are no longer enough to get it going.

Leon PM mr your bank details and I'll send your money back.

Keep your names listed if you're still interested if/when more GB'ers come along.

Thanks for the interest, and I'm sorry we can't get this one going.

Cheers
