Just requested a call back from sky insurance.

Not too confident in getting a better quote, Im only 19 so doubt they can beat admiral.

Yeah turbo MR2 at 19 doesn't work... You need to be super careful with Admiral and imports!

Sky were no use due to age etc. Even with a n/a car.

So sticking with n/a and current insurer

Right, should be going to look at that car sunday.

Whats an alright mileage for a 14 year old car.

I have seen a 1997 mr2 in sonice shadow thats done 143k, had cambelt few thousand miles ago, one owner, etc. Its up at 1800 atm.

Guessing it should be a bit cheaper, but what are peoples thoughts on a car with that kind of miles?

10,000 a year is probably under average mileage these days. My rev1 n/a which I bought at 82000 is now just coming up to 216000 miles... As has been said just look at the overall condition. You could drop a replacement n/a engine in reasonably cheaply at the end of the day ...

Do not worry about milage, the condition is key. There are PLENTY of sheds around with lower milage, however lots of very nice condition high milage cars (obviously can apply both ways...). Milage means nothing... :)

Yeah that is quite true.

Does anyone know if I can take my car into a dealership and ask if they want to buy it off me?

Because if I were to buy an mr2 private that would be the only way of clearing the finance on mine/taking it to we buy any car :P

Why do people say their cars are a 10th anniversary model when they are clearly not?
10th Anniversary models were either Lucerne Silver or Caribbean Blue and were all numbered with a few special features and without air-conditioning.
EX Caribbean Blue 10th Anniversary 1996 T-bar
EX Black 1995 mk2 GT Turbo
NOW Audi TT V6 3.2 DSG 2004 Coupe

Right, been to see it today and it was well over stated in the advert, had damaged radiator, paintwork needed correcting, new brakes needed, needed a service, needed tracking sorted.

Also found a receipt saying it had been sold for 2500 from another dealer 5 months ago, so deffo not worth 3000 now. Worth a max of 2000 and he wasnt willing to budge on anything.

So on with the search....
