Can i just cut the Aircon belt off?

Depends on what you're doing? If it's no good to you, yeah, but if you're refitting a new one, may as well release tensioner as you'll have to anyway to fit new one.

You might as well lose the gubbins as well and shed some weight you fat mk2 barstewards!
If you can't see the angle, you're in trouble.

I've had the aircon compressor chopped out the last engine swap. How much would that have weighed?
Is there much weight loss in removing the pipes etc?
Is there a radiator for the aircon that can be removed?

If any of you guys are getting rid of your air con pipes, then I may be looking for a set, as long as the are useable and from a rev3 onwards?

I removed it all of my first mr2 turbo as it didn't work. Compressor is quite weighty. Probs more then 10 kilos? The aircon rad is in front of the nornal rad and is quite light but also easy to remove. Metal pipes under the car be a about 1 kilo-ish.
