My project tubby came with Team Dynamics Drifz alloy wheels with these (what I assume are) unusal slimline wheel nuts. They almost look like torx nuts but not quite. I assume there is supposed to be some sort of key for them but I didn't get one with the car - any ideas on getting them off?
I'd rather find the proper socket/key to remove them than destroy them with locking wheel nut removers if possible but I'd use that as a last resort - though I'm not sure I could get a locking wheel nut remover onto them? There is very little space around them apart from the rounded part that sticks out (on all except the odd one with the open end, which is the only nut like that on the whole set of 20) and I'm not sure if locking nut removers would work on the rounded part?

they look a bit like mine TSW locking nuts. You might find a local alloy wheel shop can remove them for you?

well if all else fails and you want to get them off use a 16mm socket and hammer it on with a big persuasion tool. Then use breaker bar.
Thats how i used to get them off when i was stripping cars.

it's just that we subscrible to the theory of hitting it harder until it works. Or something falls off, in which case you've hit it too hard.
