Forged Engine - How Much Would It Sell For

Post by Rosssco »

Completely speculative question, but if I was to look to remove the forged engine and sell as a complete swap package, how much do think it would be realistically worth..?

This would include basically everything to install and run in another car.

Spec:

Rev 2 block / head
Eagle Rods
CP pistons
Cometic Head gasket
GT3071r Turbo (0.63 A/R) and down pipe / screamer pipe
Tial wastegate
SARD BOV
ST205 Chargecooler System incl. pump
540cc injectors / bored fuel rail / uprated fule pressure regulator
1ZZ CoP Ignition conversion
Link G3 ECU pre-mapped with AFM removed

Rev 2 LSD Gearbox
Driveshafts
Uprated clutch

I might have missed a few more minor items, but thats the main lot! The modified components on the engine have relatively low mileage (sub 20k), and its runs well. I was thinking it must be around £2k..? Is that about right?

Please note this is NOT FOR SALE, just curious at this stage :thumleft:

How much boost have you been running through it?
What sort of power is it making?
Who built it?
Can it be heard running?
What size pistons is it running?

£2k sounds cheap considering the spec and amount of kit...

That's a bit cheap really if you're including turbo, box & ecu as well!!! Looking more 3k I'd've thought (is I'd've a word or is it an Oldham thing?)

I'reckon'ed's you may have invented a new word there matey :thumleft: £2k sounds about right without the ecu...why not just slap the coil/dizzy set up back on it and then put the ecu and coil conversion up as a seperate lot
