about £150 more than I pay on TPFT at 26 with 6 years NCB on a clean license with Adrian Flux, so I'd say its pretty good really. the lack of no claims is probably the difference.

you can pretty much modify ANYTHING that doesn't increase power on the Adrian Flux policies without incurring an increase in premium too. I pre-declared a giant list of stuff I was possibly planning on when I first took the policy 2 years ago just because it made zero difference to the price, half of which I haven't even got around to yet lol. once you start increasing horsepower I think the premiums go up accordingly though.

Sounds ok as an every day drive. Expensive if it's your second car though. I pay £250 on my 3S-GTE powered mk1 as a second car limited to 5000miles.

More details please! Have you got everything declared? How old are you etc.

Fully comp classic policy, all mods declared, policy through Classicline. Excellent company to deal with, even sorted me a replacement screen for £50 when mine cracked in the big freeze. I'm 28, car kept on my drive in a nice part of a not particularly cheap post code (Warrington area). Limited to 5000miles and NCB is not used or accrued, agreed value of £4000 but I've never filled in the extra paperwork or sent them the pics so they would never give me £4k.

Only went up £25 from last year! I thought that was excellent in the current climate.

Flux were asking for over a grand as they said they could only insure it as an imported mk2 turbo rather than on a classic policy as a mk1 (as the engine was from an import).

Blimey, I pay £400 with Adrian Flux and I'm a 37 year old project manager. It is my daily driver though with an SC conversion and wheels and chasis mods declared and for 15k miles a year.

I'm in Northants.

I just got a quote on a std 911 (996) rough guide on web of £600.

I need to transfer my mk.1 SC on to a classic policy tomorrow - I went with Haggerty for my previous mk.1 to basically have it insured for 2k miles as it was off the road. £125 for that. So they will be my first port of call for similar cover.

My insurance is up next month so to put the 996 I've just bought on to that cost me £20 (£15 of that was for admin....). Will be interested in the renewal quote!

I'm with RH Specialists - annual cost on a classic policy £120

39 yr old Facilities Manager, limited to 6k per year, breakdown included, spare parts covered too... Not had to make a claim, thankfully, so can't comment on service, but at £120...

Classicline said my Mk1.5 was 'too modified'?

I am going with a company recommended to me by a friend who has a Z-Cars Mini with a Civic Type R engine in the back.

They're called HIC - https://www.hertsinsurance.com.

I'm 27, Computer Analyst (That was the choice on their system), 5k miles per year, fully comp, £4k valuation, 90 day euro travel, courtesy car, all mods covered, car has a Cat 2 immobiliser. This was £815 on a fresh policy that will accrue no claims bonus.

Sky Insurance were quoting over £400 more.

It'll be on the road again next weekend, can't wait!

HTH.

This is a good thread on the Mk1 club for quite a few comparisons althouth it's probably a little late for the OP.
