error code what does it mean?

hi all started my mr2 up for the first time since november. started up but only ran on one cylinder for a while then 2 then 3 then 4. but the engine light doesnt go out. i have read the code and it flashed twice then 4 times then 3 times then once. what does that mean?
i have change rad and thermostat and also done the oil?

Sounds like AFM (air flow meter).

Check the electrical plug that goes to the air intake on the left of engine bay (looking from back of car) and check the flap inside the AFM isnt stuck/siezed.

yeah totally right mate! i had left it disconnected. car still ran ok though! pmsl! jus plenty of black smoke!!
