i went to fit some apex springs last weekend and failed. i couldnt undo any of the bolts despite some serious leverage/penetrating fluid ended up breaking/bending three spanners
anyone know anyone in the SE with more experience/better tools than me who could fit them for me and appx cost?
or would anyone like to volunteer to have a go and earn some cash?

did you try using a breaker bar ? or just spanners ?
Re: [Mk2] [NA] Lowering Help
a 6 foot scaffold pole on the end of an 'unbreakable' spanner and 2 cheap spanners - all of which broke.
Re: [Mk2] [NA] Lowering Help
wow that doesn't sound good, if you have no luck finding someone to help I'm only in Sussex near tunbridge wells, I have a garage full of tools so your welcome to come over one weekend and have another go.

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Lowering Help
Yeah I would second Phils idea, I went to a local tyre place and they did my suspension with an air gun. Its amazing how easy thngs come apart with tools like that

Hope you get your apexs fitted. I'm thinking of fitting them and am wondering how harsh the ride is after fitting... could you report back with pics and your view on how firm the ride is?
