Tin top EVERY time, lightest weight, most rigid chassis, no leaks, looks better, rarer.. need I say more?

T bar everytime.

Wait till summer and look at the faces of the tintop owners when you cruise past with the wind in your hair.

Tbar is the way to go.

hourses for courses really! if you want wind in your hair in a tintop... put damn windows down, lol :>

Sadly there is no factory turbos with moonroof - that would be the best option for me.

I've never driven a tbar, but I am put off by the constant "zomg leak" threads on here + how many days in the year are you gonna leave the t-bar glass home ?

I've just had two weeks off work and pretty much had the roof out the whole time.

If you have a tbar you have to expect that at some point it's probably going to leak. When it does you have to either fix it or buy new seals.

You just have a lazy ass setup if you can not hear it in a tin top

Pro's and con's:

On a long journey with the roof out I am completely deaf by the time I arrive! The Nur-spec is far quieter with the roof in!

The T-Bar get's hotter inside in the summer and the glass can be impossible to remove unless you have asbestos hands!

I know someone who rolled their T-bar MR2 and had the top of their head almost removed by the glass so he bought a tin top MR2 after that!

What he said. It makes for a nice big expanse of the gorgeous caribbean blue paint

When I went to Le Mans a few years ago with IMOC I was the only tin-top there. When we all got back into our cars there was all sorts of "Right time to take the roof off... oh no wait you can't!" "Got your angle grinder mate?" etc etc...

5 minutes down the road it started raining, everyone else had to pull over and hurriedly put their roofs back in.

Half hour later it's bright sunshine again, everyone pulls over to take their tbars out again.

This got pretty boring after about 4 hours!! It was a driving holiday after all, not a parking-by-the-side-of-the-road holiday.

T-bar. Its the only reason i bought one.

Tin tops just plain and boring, moon roofs just look completely odd.

Leaks are easy to repair and last years if done right

What this man said.

I have owned a Rev 1 Sunroof, Rev 2 T bar and now a Rev 3 Tintop.

I would go tin top everytime now.

Pros of tin top:
What Ollie said

Cons of Sunroof and Tbars:
Rust/Storage/Fitting/Removing/Fitting/Removing :lol:/Leaks

I have no hair, plus, with all the extra drag and weight on the T-Top drivers car, i highly doubt he'll be 'crusing' past

Noticed a few posts stating it is the sole reason why they bought an MR2. Surely it's the way they drive, feel, perform and look?

Otherwise if it was just a t-bar these are much cheaper options
