Firstly you'll need - http://www.imoc.co.uk/forums/viewtopic. ... luster+led

Buy a few extra incase you blow them as you might not be able to walk into any car shop for a replacement.

Secondly - http://www.imoc.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?t=5712

and if you want to top the rest off...

I've done my clock and dash but I didn't like the fact the needles didn't light up.

I went and bought my self an e-Glow dash. It's porn and looks so much better.
Leave the original bulbs in and spend the cash on this.

Yoou can also change the clock colour. I took the filter out mine and replaced it with a same shape blue colured seethrough acryllic piece which i'm sure is still lying around - Only problem I have, when the sun is directly on it I can't see the time.

if you just want to do the speedo's you'll need 4 T4W ones, they fit as a direct replacement for the standard filament bulbs. I just got 4 red ones from eBay and the speedo's look great, the rest of the dash is a different matter as you'll need to solder stuff and add resitors to make them work with 12v, give me a shout if you need any help, i've done all mine except the door switches which are next on the list when I find out where they live...

Cheers for the info guys, just read through it! Looks like I may have a challenge with some of the bulbs though :S

With regards to the T4W bulbs you got...
I think I'm gonna go white with everything and a few bulbs came up but I'm presuming this style?

I bought 2 sets of these (sale is for 2), as you'll need 4 for the dials.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2-X-5-LED-T10-168 ... 4aa1a7de97

Mine were red but the same and they light up the stock black dials really well, think the stock dials my look slightly orange with white though, that might just be with regular filament bulbs...

And yes the ones you posted are for above your head, the dash and the side lights/side indicators (well in rev1 toblerones) are T10 bulbs, the better LED's are SMD too.

hope that helps...

Thanks for the help :thumleft:

I then noticed that the bulb that goes around the key hole would look wicked if that were white n'all, do you or anyone know what bulb it is?
Looks like this...

Looks very good in white, I got a red LED bulb for the key lock in a kit with 4 dash bulbs, will do some research and see, could always bodge an LED up with a resistor, I did that for the fog switches...

Is soldering leds on a strip the only way to get a better light spread in the heater controls? No smd type leds/bulbs that could do this without any other mods....?

I have some strips ready to try but am dubious about much more light, especially to the fan switch as the light needs to shine out sideways rather than straight ahead like LED's do. I have superbright standard 5mm LED's with the tops sanded and it's not great. 1st I am going to try the original filament bulbs with the silicone sheath stripped off and a couple of coats of red glass paint. Easy than stripping the whole unti again for now so worth a try.

Let me know how you get on...
