[Mk2] [Turbo] Glass smashed! Front replaced but need rear!!!

sOME ASBO xxxxx have smashed the glass on my MR2 Turbo. the car is red and the glass is bronze all round but my insurance company is saying they can only get blue glass for the rear.

does anyone have any rear windows going cheap???

As I type this 'car glass ltd' are replacing my windscreen (via ins). They said they can get bronze or green/blue (mines 1997), but without the top tint on them.
Create a stink and tell them its like for like, thjeyre just being lazy it sounds and cant be ar$ed getting the proper screen!

Christ! That rear window is a nightmare to get in as well! What about a breakers and get them to fit that?

Not to mention millions of tiny bits of glass that will find themselves into every nook and cranny and annoyingly rattle around,
and im thinking particularly about the air intakes for the heater,inside the door frames etc.
Just spent a whole day hoovering all of this stuff up,and it literally gets everywhere.

Good point ,i just had front and rear screens fitted For £60
both supplied by me,and the window fitter did it as a saturday afternoon
cash in hand job.

You can have the windows out of my glimited as I am breaking it, the back 3 have been tinted but its easily removed.

Get them tinted.

yep, every window. there is some jelous cun8t out there. im not going to go MAD about it, its repairable.

and need to keep a clear head so i can get it fixed and ready for the shows.

I had in spares the side windows, so there fixed.

Front windscreen is being covered on my insurance policy, being fixed tomorrow.

So i now desperatley need a bronze, or tinted rear window, prefrabley not still glued in a car! lol.
Any help on this will be massively appreciated

i can't believe that! every window??!! w*****s! why would you do that to anyone's car?

the old saying about returning to the scene of the crime... i'd be worried about the c**t coming back for seconds. i'd be eating a bottle of truckers choise stay-awake-pills and drinking gallons of redbul while hiding in a hedge with a sparpened golf club

shame it's raining, would have been worth checking for finger prints on the paint.

gutted for you, i hope you find out who it was and get justice. sadly i doubt that will ever happen though.

apparently the bronze only comes on the imports, and blue on the UK model, hope you get this sorted, i was told years ago by somebody, that for getting tiny shard of glass out out carpet etc, to use( i know this sounds daft) bread, press the bread into it and it will lift the tiny (almost dust like) shards that you can't get out, i've never tried it so i can't confirm

so ther front window has been replaced, very pleased, the old glass was a bit scratched anyway. lol



now its getting a bit windy in the cabin, so if anyone can help me with the rear window problem? much appreciated
