Why on earth did I buy it, I should have waited for the rental copy
Seriously this is one of the worst games I've slung in the machine.
The people who have made this clearly aren't true fans of cars at all, it's like they hired a bunch of 10 year olds for it.
DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON IT !!!!!!!

TDU2 = Test Drive Unlimited 2 - come on man, all the kids know it
If you watch this, their reactions sum it up pretty well. (brilliant site this one, worth watching all of the vid)
http://www.giantbomb.com/quick-look-tes ... 2/17-3776/
I wish I saw that prior to heading out and buying the bloody game, it's a huge disappointment.
Personally what I don't like (main & minor gripes):
Terrible handling from the cars (GTA4 did a better job ).
Horrendous, aggravating 'characters' & story (you just want to kill them).
It really doesn't feel like they have improved on the first one.
Somehow Porsche & Lamborghini have been left out
No throttle blips - yeah a minor thing but they went out in some of the cars so clearly would have experience that.
The 'challenges' are extremely easy at the moment, so maybe later they get harder.
This is being played on a 360, and games settings to 'hardcore', primarily using a pad.
If you are someone who has never driven a car, probably not had sex and don't shave yet, this could be considered a good game perhaps... so yeah this is likely a game kids will enjoy.
Or if you enjoyed driving around aimlessly just like in the first one, you'll probably like this one as well.
The Off Road stuff is ok though, seems more fun strangely enough.

Re: TDU 2 - oh dear...
I really enjoyed the last TDU it wasnt perfect but it was good fun hammering along public roads with 8 other guys; thats what really made the game for me.
The biggest issue I had with the game was the poop handling and it sounds this one is now worse? If it had a Forza3 physics engine it would have been amazing.
I remember we had an IMOC session and it was something like 15 of us tearing down the roads, and in the process we picked up even more players. Good times. I also had a 2 hour bike ride with some random around the island, it was great, just blasting along going where you wanted, slicing through traffic.
How do the cards handle in Hardcore?

Re: TDU 2 - oh dear...
i gave up on the career side of things, i just went on mad missions across the island and that was the best part of the game, i might wait till the game is reduced to peanuts and buy it then!
Re: TDU 2 - oh dear...
I enjoyed the first game.
It was xxxx with the controller but the steering wheel made it quite good.
The car transport missions were good fun. I too am going to wait untill it's in the preowned section. Should be about a week from reviews.

Re: TDU 2 - oh dear...
Heh, pre-owned should be pretty immanent, I'll be heading back with it today or tomorrow if I get a moment.
I haven't seen a single bike, so that looks like it's been dropped as well.
I played the first one primarily with the wheel, and at times it was ok but more hassle than it's worth (in my case, it's a pain setting up).
I shall try out each handling mode but I put it straight onto 'hardcore' because that should be all assists off, best way to judge how something handles...but it feels like every assist is on, my mum could play this !
Mini rant disclaimer - sorry -
My friends that have 360's either aren't online, or don't play online at the same time I do, we prefer to meet up and do system link, which hardly any games seem to do !
So in order for us to just have a game between ourselves we have to connect to the net and set up a private game between machines which are right next to each other

Re: TDU 2 - oh dear...
There were no bikes on the vehicle list that I saw a few days ago(linked on PH)
Re: TDU 2 - oh dear...
The kids may all know it, but I'm not a kid

Well if its no good they can probably call it TU2D!
Surprised its back on Hawaii considering all the muttering around a new Island - so basically TDU1 with an expansion and some weather effects?

It's because I wasn't about yesterday. Happy now
I asked God for a bike, but I know God doesn't work that way. So I stole a bike and asked for forgiveness.
