[All] [Generic] how to use my fkn ohmeter......

Post by djpkins »

I am trying to test some of my spare bits...coil etc, and I can't get a sensible reading from the ohmeter...digital type with new batterys...The reading that I'm testing for should be between .40 and .50 ohms...the selection that I have on my multimeter is 200, 2k, 20k, 200k, and 2M.

Which one should I choose?

the low range should be the one to use 200ohms gives you a range of 0-200ohms however I doubt you will be able to measure 0.4 - 0.5 ohms with that meter and get a sensible reading, its a very low value.
