TRD Wide body wheels..

Post by A.BLAKE »

Hey guys, whats the correct size wheels to run with the TRD kit.. What size did the originals have? Does any one know what brand the ones on the orginal trd cars were?? I assume i need something with a wider rear but i can only find 18s with the wider rears. Dont really like 18s unless i could go 17 on the front but this dosnt seem to be an option.. Could i go 17 front and rear with wheel spacers? dosnt sound like the right way to go about it...

The original wheels on the TRD2000GT were TRD Alumi K's. They are rare now, and very hard to get hold of. The wheel and tyre setup was:

F 17x7 +13 215/40R17

R 17x8.5 +7 245/40R17

I have Volk GT-C's on mine at the moment in the following size:

F 17x8 +23 225/35R17

R 17x10 +12 265/40R17

Have a look at www.imagewheels.co.uk/index.html
They might be able to custom build something for you.

Going 17's all round with spacers on the rear is an option, as long as you're happy driving with spacers.

If you can hold on 'til Spring I might be able to sell you the Volk's....

Plus a search would have revealed a few threads answering the question previously. :eye:
