Thermostat either stuck open or not fitted

its it snot fiited, will show ive been ripped off on teh head,
will i risk snapping bolts if i try to remove the stat myself

aswell as being very cold last night with no heater,
the car stopped rand out of electricity, alternator doesnt apear to be that tight

ive got fresh oil leaking from the rocker cover gasket. odw the head into the alternator

thermostat now replaced, , old one had holes poked in it

all running fine now, just couple of things..
on stone cold starts the engine cranks over & over then fires, runs slow picks up and runs fine. i dont recall this from my last mr2.
2nd is when warm idle spead is 1100rpm

Most like causes, either - Idle Stability Control (ISC) valve is not operating or your EFI water temperature sensor is faulty.
Kennym's post about the Puma also reminded me that you must make sure that the temperature is set to full hot before you bleed the coolant through.

the block connector to this unit has been chopped and spades replacing it, bad connection im hoping. looks bit of a pin to replace unit
