[Mk2] [Turbo] Pads and discs - ebay- these any good

Post by meggs88 »

As per title, I have seen these on ebay,

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/TOYOTA-MR2-TURBO- ... 3365wt_905

£240 for the front and rear discs with redstuff pads seems pretty cheap, Just wondering if any has any good or bad experiences with them?

Cheers
Chris

CRN discs are ok. Lots of people on here, including myself, use them and haven't had any problems. They will zinc plate them for you for not a lot of money, either gold or silver finish. It's good to go for that as they look the part and won't rust up so quickly. They do lots of different packages, I chose the 4 x discs (zinc plated in gold finish), yellow stuff pads and Goodridge braided hoses. My brakes are now awesome :D

Thanks for the replies, I only really need the front ones, as they are warped, but I might as well get all 4 at that price.
Thanks

I got mine from Camskill, £120 for the full set with pads :thumleft:

There nothing fancy just basic discs and pads but they do the job well :thumleft:

having experienced grooved and dimpled discs,on a previous car.
and plain discs and uprated pads on arev3 turbo,
i would go for the plain disc setup every time.
i had problems with rust forming in the grooves and dimples
which with the pads having a flat surface, did not get rid of.
i know rust forms on the plain discs, but after a few minutes driving and applying the brakes,it soon goes.
also, only my opinion but standard discs, with good pads
are perfectly adequate unless you are running massive power. paul.
